“On the onset of this Friday, the inhabitants of Russia will be able to create their internet address using their traditional language : Cyrillic” said the communications Minister Vladimir Vassilliev to a reputed newspaper.
This move has been initiated by the organization which is responsible for the major shake in to the domain names architecture.
Currently Russian’s use two types of domain names , .ru and .su , now it will be able to create a third type in Cyrillic by this weekend.
” It’s very important for Russia to have domain names in Cyrilllic, this will increase the exposure of Russians to the Internet.” pointed the President Dmitry Medvedev to a reputed daily.
Last week, the authority governing the format of domain names on Internet (ICANN) approved the major shake up in the traditional format of domain names . They voted for the emergence of domain names in the languages like Arabic & Mandarin.

Sunny , sorry , the members of ICAAN haven’t embroiled upon the idea of letting the domain names in Hindi.
