Most people think spam is irritating and clogs up their email account. They dislike the pointless attempts to get them to click on links to get a home loan or buy some pills cheap. Hundreds of thousands and more of these irritating pieces of junk email go out every day to almost every computer user's mailbox.
If you are online, you will get spam in your mailbox guaranteed. Most people despise it, but can't find ways to stop the onslaught of junk emails. So they accept the junk and continually delete it, hoping they don't accidentally delete a good piece of mail that they were expecting to receive.
The spammers have an organized plan for their ads. They know that if just a handful of people click on the links in these emails out of thousands of unsolicited spammy emails , they just got lots of leads to keep them busy awhile. And so the spammers keep doing the same thing all over again, like a proven formula.
If an ad is sent continually to people over a period of time, some computer users are bound to open the spam and click on the link to find out more. People who do the spamming know that it is only a law of averages, and some people will be interested in what they have to say. It's true that the vast majority of computer users are irritated by the spam, but spammers don't care about that.
People with email accounts are curious to find out why the spammer choose them to receive the junk emails. They are sent by programs that are called Spambots that grab email addresses in order to send those unwanted emails. It is only one of a few methods that spammers employ to find addresses of users.
Spammers figure out a way to use a big ISP like Yahoo that has heavy email usage. They use a program that will generate various combinations of names. As a result, they will get real email addresses where they will send the spam.
When you surf the Internet, be wary when you sign up for a mailing list when you are visiting a website. Make sure that the owner of the website states that they do not give away your email address or other personal information. You do not want to fall into a trap where a website will start to send you spam.
Many companies such as AOL or Yahoo have built in spam filters that block certain words or junk before it even gets to your mailbox. Inevitably some of the offensive or junky emails manage to get through. Just for added security, spend some time on your computer and learn how to block these emails. Refrain from clicking on the links, because you'll only get more spam!
